KATHMANDU, Feb 12: Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the need of the hour was to take ahead the process for elections by making the constitution widely-acceptable, conclude remaining tasks of peace process and to direct the country toward peace and prosperity by speeding up reconstruction works.
Issuing a statement on Sunday on the occasion of 22 anniversary of Peoples War, Dahal appealed all the pro-people powers to unite to achieve it.
He further extended his condolences to those who were killed for the party during the decade-long armed conflict.
"Today is a prestigious day when the peoples war, a historical process, started." he said, "Our party extends condolences to that those who lost their lives and respect to the missing and the injured."

"Our party is committed to fulfill the other mandates of the revolution. I hope that day will inspire all the revolutionary forces to unite in a same place for that," he said.Thousands took to street as a show of strength by Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist.
